Martin Luther

Martin Luther

The Reformation helped in the shaping movements such as the start of Capitalism, and the foundation of humanism and the drive for scientific discovery.

"To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than living without breathing."

Catholics did not approve of his beliefs and ordered him to cease his practices, ultimatley excommunicating him from the church.

The Protestant Reformation caused a divide between Northern Lutherans and Southern Catholics which were taking over most of Europe

While aiming at an internal renewal of the Church, the reformation was a great revolt against it, and an abandonment of the principal Christian beliefs that catholics didn't support.
