Martin Luther King

Martin was born on January 15, 1929. His mom was a house wife and his father was a minister. He grew up in a Baptist church. When Martin was young he wanted to become like his father. At age 15, Martin graduated from high school. He was also admitted to Morehouse College. At the age of 24 he married a woman whose name was Coretta Scott. He soon settled in Montgomery, Alabama. Martin was the leader of the first non-violent African American Bus Boycott civil rights movement. He also became an author of the famous letter from a Birmingham Jail. One of the greatest accomplishments was he was the youngest recipient of the Nobel peace prize. He used his money to further civil rights causes. On August28, 1963, Martin performed the most famous speech. He performed his speech on the march to the Lincoln Memorial. More than 250,000 people were there at the Lincoln Memorial. His speech was called the I Have a Dream.

Martin accomplished a lot of great things. he graduated from high school at the age of 15. martin won the nobel peace prize in his 30s. he led a bus boycott in montgomery, Alabama. the most amzing thing he did was write the i have a dream speech.

Lasting Impact

Martin is the reason that whites and blacks can go to the same school today. He's the reason that whites and blacks get along today

My Opinion

My opinion about MLK was that he was a loyal man. He was proud of his race and I bet most people were ashamed of being black because of the way they were treated, but Martin wasn't. He fought against racism by promoting peace.
