Martin Luther King, Jr.

Martin Luther King, Jr. was born on January 15, 1929 in Atlanta, GA. Growing up, he went to public schools that were very segregated (races separated). He even managed to graduate at age 15! He went to college at Morehouse College and Boston University. His whole life he fought for civil rights in many organizations. He was very heroic and accomplished many great things in his lifetime. Not to mention, he was ONLY 35 when he wont the Nobel Peace Prize!

-Led the Montgomery Bus Boycott after Rosa Parks was arrested. This resulted in the Supreme Court ruling segregation on buses illegal.-Protested on civil rights and resulted in the first Civil Rights Act getting passed.-He led 200,000 people on the March on Washington where they fought for civil rights and he gave his first "I Have A Dream" speech.-Time Magazine's Man of the Year for fighting for equality.-Won the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts on civil rights.
