MarsMars is named after the Roman god of war. For early cultures they saw Mars, and becuase it was red, the colour of blood many cultures named it after their own God of War, but when they where agreeing on names, they used the Roman name.CompositionMars is compossed very similerly to Earth. With an iron and sulpher core, and a crust made of basalt, and iron oxide, this gives it a red tone.AtmosphereThe atmosphere of Mars is very thin, and could not stop the radiation from the sun. The atmosphere of Mars is 95% Carbon Dioxide, 3% Nitrogen, 1.6% Argon, and it has small traces of Oxygen.TemperatureThe temperature of Mars is similer to Ballarat (20 C) at the equator during Summer, but during Winter at the poles it can get down to about -153 C.MoonsMars has two moons, Phobos and Deimos. These are named after the children of Ares, the Greek version of Mars.
