.

I am 13 teen years old, and I wanted to go to the party of the year. I asked my parents and they said no. I decided not to go that year to follow my parents wants. Now I am 18, and I want to go to a even bigger party, but it is still late at night. I asked my parents they said no, I went to it this time, a aware of the reasons they didn't want me go in the first place. Some of the reasons they told me no was getting a tatto, and getting asked if I wanted to take a drug. Sure enough, as I was thinking of those things in the wonderful party someone asked if I wanted to smoke his ciggarte. I froze for a second and then used my step-by-step process and thought of these things, I decided..........

Story Set Up

Marijuana! :(

Marijuana is a shredded, green-brown mix of dried flowers, stems, and leaves from the plant Cannabis sativa. A stronger form of marijuana, called hashish (hash), looks like brown or black cakes or balls.Marijuana is usually rolled and smoked like a cigarette (joints or doobies), or put in hollowed-out cigars (blunts), pipes (bowls), or water pipes (bongs). Some people mix it into food or brew it as a tea.

How do you know if someone is using marijuana?

What is Marijuana?

Some people feel nothing at all when they smoke marijuana. Others may feel relaxed or "high." Some experience sudden feelings of anxiety and paranoid thoughts (even more likely with stronger varieties of marijuana). Regular use of marijuana has also been linked to depression, anxiety, and a loss of drive or motivation, which means a loss of interest even in previously enjoyable activities. Its effects can be unpredictable, especially when mixed with other drugs.

What if you think that someone is related to you is using marijuana? How can you help them?

Step One: Make Observations.Think about why you want this individual to stop smoking pot.Step Two: Approach the Person. Bring up your concerns to your friend at a time when not a lot of stressors are present.Step Three: Educate Her on Withdrawal. People can become physically dependent on marijuana, especially if they are heavy users.Step Four: Help Him Manage CravingsCravings often sabotage even the most well developed quit plan. Help your friend come up with a plan to manage cravings before they happen, such as chewing on carrots or going for a walk.Step Five: Celebrate Goals With Her

When used correctly and responsibly, Pot can actually increase your ability to find new and innovative solutions to problems.Marijuana helps you think "outside the box". This concept of thinking "out of the box" is an ability sought after by corporations who want to hire people with new innovative ideas and actually invent a better mousetrap. However, by having drug testing policies the corporations are actually excluding the very people how they seek to hire. I believe that if some of these corporate policy makers were to smoke some Pot themselves, they would realize that Pot, when used responsibly, actually enhances a person's ability to make strategic decisions.Pot affects everyone differently. Just because Pot has some beneficial effects on me doesn't mean that it will do the same for you. Everyone is different and drugs affect different people in different ways. Obviously, if you have tried Marijuana and it had a bad effect on you, don't continue to use it.Once you become addicted, you can't just quit. You become a slave to the drug. When used correctly and responsibly, Pot can actually increase your ability to find new and innovative solutions to problems.Marijuana helps you think "outside the box". Can Marijuana be good for you?

Ways to say "No!"

Teens are increasingly saying no to weed: A study from the University of Texas at Austin found that the percentage of teens who partake has dropped from 6 percent to 4.5 percent over an 11-year period (a 25 percent decrease), while use among older teens declined from 26 percent to 22 percent. And their attitudes are changing, too: While other demographics are becoming A-okay with Mary Jane, the teens today are increasingly “disapproving” of the drug.

Step 5: Reflect on your decision

MarijuanaOrNot!

PossitivesThe possitive of not taking Marijuana would be that my body will still be in good conditions, and my parents won't know until I tell them that I went to the party. The thing that would be good about me taking Marijuana is that they will not think I am wierd that I didn't take it. NeggativesThe negatives of not takeing marijuana is that the person might think I am a afual person for not taking it and getting high. The negatives of taking marijuana is that I might get a tatto, end my carear in my sport, not get a good college degree, and that my parents will not trust me agian.

Reflection is also below.

My choice would be whether to the marijuana or not. Below you will see both ways.

Step 3: Identifying positive and negative outcomes

Step 4: Make decisions and follow through

The option would be do I take the Marijuana or do I not take it.

Step 1: What decision am I making

Step 2: Option

The result when being a teenIf I took the marijuana my parents wouldn't trust me, the schools would be watching me, my friends might leave me becasue they don't want me to influence their decisions, and I might never be able to go to another party because of when I took the marijuana.

If I took the Marijuana.

Trying to get into a college. The colleges might not assept me, and if one college does accept me, I might have to pay extra. It also will be hard to get into a college.

My reflection:I am happy with myself, could I be better ya, but I don't care, I get to live in my parents basement at 25!

The results when being a teen:I am in troulble becasue I went to the party, but they are proud that I said, "No!" to the marijuana offer. So they moved back my curfue and are letting me go to more parties.

If I don't take the Marijuana.

Trying to get into a college:I get a scholarship into my dream university, and I don't have to pay a huge fee like other people. My dream job I get hired to do.

Reflection:I don't regret anything huge, I need to work on some stuff, and I don't have many people not liking me, when I like them.I live with my family and I have my own house.
