Manifest Destiny

In the American Old West, trails were used by immigrants participating in the Westward Expansion. Although some of the trails existed before the beginning of the Old West period, they did not reach their apex of use until the mid-19th century, between 1830 and 1870. The Conestoga wagon was the main source of travel. One of the main colonizers in California was John Sutter.
