The Earth's surface is not flat or smooth. It has been shaped and changed into many different features over millions of years.the Earth is made up of many different types of landforms which are created or shaped by different processes occuring beneath or on the earth's surface. The Earth's crust is made of many seperate pieces called plates which float on the semi-molten mantle beneath them.(e.g Nazca plate and Arabian plate).Plates move, they do so in three basic way:they push towards each other ,pull apart from each other or slide past each other. ....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
