Malaria is spread from parasites that that use humans and mosquitoes as hosts. The moqsquitoes spread the infected parasites as the fly around and drink from the bloodstream of mammals.

Since Malaria is a potentially fatal disease it needs to be treated as soon as possible. Medications to fight the parasite include chloroquine, quinine, and quindine. How the patient should be treated depends on the area they were the infection was inquired, the species of parasite and other health factors of the patient themself.

Prevention of malaria involves protecting yourself against mosquito bites and taking antimalarial medicines. Though it is advised that children and anyone with health issues should avoid areas with malaria.
