Out, out, brief candle! Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage and then is heard no more. It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing."

Act 4 Scene 2 and 3- The witches told Macbeth to beware of Macduff. He figured the best way to do that was kill him, but since he fled the country Macbeth had people kill Macduff's family. This news got back to Macduff and angered him. He swore he would avenge their deaths and kill macbeth.

He now fears Banquo and hires a couple murderers to kill Banquo and his son, Fleance. - Macbeth plans to take over the power role instead of Lady Macbeth. He tells her he feels there are still more threats to eliminate and about his plan for Banquo and Fleance. "Be innocent of the knowledge, dearest chuck, till thou applaud the deed. Come, seeling night, scarf up the tender eye of pitiful day and with thy bloody and invisible hand cancel and tear to pieces that great bond which keeps me pale." Macbeth
