Lungless Salamander
I observed lungless salamanders. They are little salamanders that are brown or spotted. I noticed some of them had eyes that stuck out.
The babies were also eaten by birds, turtles, fish, and frogs.
I saw a lungless salamander eat insects, small crustaceans, and sometimes worms.
I observed how the lungless salamanders defend themselves. They move in numbers and are quick and good at escaping capture.
While observing the salamanders, I watched them get eaten. Some of their predators are turtles, chipmunks and squirrels.
I watched a lungless salamander breath. I saw that they breath through their skin. I found a dead one and dissected it. I found that they also breathe through tissues in their mouths.
