Style of MusicBeethoven was a crucial figure in the transition between the Classical and Romantic eras in Western art music. Music in the Classical Era (1750 - 1820) has simple, clearly defined melodies with accompaniment. In the Romantic Era (1850-1910) music became more passionate and expressive.
