"I told your daughter that she is like a rose."

"They were for a love that has gone all to hell,"

Love in the Time of Cholera occurs in an unknown port city somewhere around the Caribbean Sea and the Magdalena River

Fermina Daza had promised to be Florentino Ariza's wife but broke her promise more than half a century later. Florentino's love survives fifty-one years, nine months, four days and 622 affairs. This time is filled with travel, births, deaths, and poetry. Florentino's life never really begins until Fermina's husband Dr. Juvenal Urbino dies.

This book is a love story filled with many emotions; love, sadness, happiness and laughter. I have not finished the book but it definitely seems like a very interesting and well-written book that I am going to enjoy.
