CHAPTER 11-12The death of piggy was a shock and the fact that they continued to fight continues to show how far from innocent the boys are, but in chapter 12 the boys get a waking when getting resuced and the officer says "I should have thought that a pack of british boys would have been able to put up a better show than that." Which reminds us that they are still boys and not men.

CHAPTER 3-4"They cried for their mothers much less often than might have been expected" The kids are starting to lose their innocence due to a need of survival.

CHAPTER 1-2 They're still holding on to there innocence while beginning to face reality.

CHAPTER 5-6Innocent is the last thing we can use to describe the boys now. As they seek to gain control over each other.

CHAPTER 7-8"Kill the pig! Cut his throat! Kill the pig! Bash him in!" They're not innocent english boys anymore.

CHAPTER 9-10Now that there is two tribes the boys are becoming more vicious towards each other.
