Some words have a silent "e" that makes a vowel say it name! Here are some common examples:Sometimes A has the short "a" sound. Like in Cap.Sometime it has a long "a" sound. Like in Cape. The silent "e" at the end makes the vowel say its name!Sometimes O has the short "o" sound. Like in Hop.Sometime it has a long "o" sound. Like in Hope. The silent "e" at the end makes the vowel say its name!Sometimes I has the short "i" sound. Like in Fin.Sometime it has a long "i" sound. Like in Fine.
