Life and living - Animals

We can put animals into groups or classes by their features/characteristics. The different groups/classes all have a life cycle and depend on each other, their habitats and the environment.

Almost all animals fall into one of two groups: vertebrates and invertebrates.Adult vertebrates have a spinal column, or backbone, running the length of the body; invertebrates do not. We will be looking at the 5 classes in the vertebrates group.
