Linus Pauling was born on February 28, 1901 and died August 19, 1994.
Linus Pauling
Linus Carl Pauling was an American chemist, biochemist, peace activist, author, and educator. He published more than 1200 papers and books, of which about 850 dealt with scientific topics. New Scientist reportedly called him one of the 20 greatest scientists of all time. and as of 2000, he was rated the 16th most important scientist in history. Pauling was one of the founders of the fields of quantum chemistry and molecular biology.
The Chemist
In the 1950's, Linus Pauling became known as the founder of molecular biology due to his discovery of the spiral structure of proteins
He attended Washington High school but did not receive his diploma until 1962 long after he received his bachlors degree in 1922.
He was so smart he ad an academy made of him after he died and won two unshred nobel prizes
Ava Helen Pauling was his wife and Herman Henry William Pauling and Lucy Isabelle Pauling were his mother and father
He ws born in Portland Oregans largest city.
