Lincoln's Last Days

Lincoln's Last Days should be #1 on your Christmas list, and if it's not, then it will be after you hear what I have to say. Abe Lincoln is one our most beloved Presidents, and his story deserves to be heard by all. This is a very interesting and important time in history. To help the cause, a man named Bill O'Reilly has written Lincoln's Last Days. Now all you have to do is read it. Let's open those books and start reading and learning about Lincoln.

Why should you read this book? This is why!

3 Fascinating Facts

1)Abraham (Abe) Lincoln was originally supposed to be captured until the Confederacy started to die out. Booth's plan to capture Lincoln was funded by Jefferson Davis, but Davis eventually had to go into hiding. This gave Booth nowhere to bring Abe, so Booth went ahead and killed Abe.2)Abe's son Robert was at Appomattox court house when General Lee surrendered to General Grant.3)Abe was shot on Good Friday while watching a play at Ford's Theater.

The Shot :(

John Wilkes Booth shot Abraham Lincoln April 14th, 1865. This was the first time a U.S. President had been assassinated. This is one of the saddest times in our country's history. John Wilkes Booth would later feel the pain of death when he himself is shot and killed 12 days later on April 26th at age 26.
