Interesting Facts of LeadWhere lead is found- Lead is found everywhere. It is found in our water, in our homes, in the soil, and even in the air. Lead can be mined in many places, including China, Austrailia, The United States, and Peru.Lead uses- There are many different uses of lead today. They include batteries, ammunition, cosmetics, and oxides in glass and ceramics. Lead can also be used as protective aprons for x-rays because radiation cannot pass through lead. Lead was also used for pencils, paint, pipes, and medicines, but companies stopped using lead in these product around the mid-1980s because of health hazards.
