Death: January 29, 1970 (age 84)

Born in: Brantford, Ontario

Nationality: Canadian

A short while after Lawren Harris became friends with J.E.H MacDonald in 1911, they later on formed the Group of Seven along with Frank Johnston, Franklin Carmichael, A.Y. Jackson, F.H Varley and Arthur Lismer. Before joining the Group of Seven, Harris studied art in Berlin, Germany for four years. He then returned to Toronto and drew the street scenes of the older and poorer areas of Toronto.
