Influence on Technology Larry Page is the co-founder of the most well-known search engine, Google. Him and his partner, Sergey Brin, created Google in college for a project. Over 6 billion searches are searched per day. The site was launched in 1998 changing the world of technology for ever. The search engine has made searching projects and information easier than ever before. Page has had many honors and awards for the work he has done, for instance, he is 13th on the Forbes 400 richest people in America. Also, in 2002 Page and Brin were named in the MIT Technology Review for being some of the 100 top inventors before they turned 35. Lastly, he recieved the Prestigious Marconi Foundation Prize in 2004.

Early Life

Larry, short for Lawrence, grew up in East Lansing, Michigan, where he was born. He grew up with technology all around him. His mom and Dad were both computer experts, so he always had an interest in technology. He has one brother who is also a computer engineer. When he got older, he married Lucinda Southworth. For an education, he graduated from East Lansing High School in 1991. After High School he went on to attend the University of Michigan and get a Bachelors in Science. When graduated from there, he went on to study at Stanford University in Computer Engineering.
