A peninsula is a piece of land that is nearly surrounded by water.
A mountain is a large landform that stretches above the surrounding land in a limited area, usually in the form of a peak. A mountain is generally steeper than a hill. Mountains are formed through tectonic forces or volcanism.
Landforms of the World
A valley is an area of low land between hills or mountains.
A glacier is a river of ice slowly sliding down a mountain slope or through a valley.
