[2015] Madison Hemphill: Lab Safety Notes

Poor lighting can cause eye strain, fatigue, double vision, and headaches.

Always inform the teacher if equpment is not working properly or not waorking at all and they will put an "out of order" sign on it.

When a visitors enters the room give them safety glasses if applicable and demonstrate what you are doing.

Do not wear loose, baggy, or easily flammable clothing.

30 volts of electricity is dangerous to humans.

Always make sure you have a clear patrhway and that all cabinets and drawers are closed.

You need a hall pass signed by the teacher to leave the room.

LIft with your whole palm and legs.

Keep your area clean and neat. Also, keep your area organized so that you kjnow where stuff is so no one gets hurt.

If any injury is to happen in the classroom tell the teacher immediately. Also, if you are sick before hand le the teacher know so that you do not cook and possibly get other students sick.
