La Alcazaba

During the Reconquista it was one of the strongest homes of the Catholic Monarchs, as it was protected by a triple enclosure and attached to the walls of Gibralfaro Castle by strong walled path.

Before

The Alcazaba in Málaga is a fortified palace of the Muslim era , built on an earlier fortification. It is located in the foothills of Mount Gibralfaro , in a high position but connected to the historic center of the city, which was the old madina of Malaqa , and whose summit is Gibralfaro Castle.

ALCAZABA OF MALAGA

It currently occupies an area of 15,000 square meters but this is not even half of the size that it was in its heyday, evident in the preserved historic levels.
