Indicating Titles of Works
L.5.2.D50xp
Titles are often underlined with large books, TV shows, movies, games, works of art and album titles.I reviewed the book Silent and Strong for the North School News.
Capitilize Titles of WorksCapitilize the first, last, and all important words in the title of a book, play, short story, poem, movie article, newspaper, magazine, TV series, chapter of a book, or song.
Names of buildings, statues, and religious books are capitilized but not underlined.
Quotations can be used for book titles if they are used consistently, but other options include underlining and italics.
SummaryAll titles should be capitilized.Large works containing small pieces should be underlined.Short works should be in quotations or italics. A large book can sometimes be put in quotes or italics.
Short-story titles should not be underlined, but rather should be placed in quotation marks.
The name of a TV show itself should be underlined because the TV show has episodes with their own additional titles. Individual episode titles should be in quotes.
