Krypton
Krypton was discovered on May 30th, 1898 by Sir William Ramsay and Morris M. Travers.
Krypton's atomic number 36. The atomic mass is 83.80. The meltingpoint of krypton is -157 degrees celcius. The boiling point is -153 degrees celcius.
Composing of about 1 part per million of the atmosphere by volume, krypton is one of the rarest elements on earth.
While Krypton is in its gaseuos state it has green orange traits.While Krypton is in its solid form it is white.
Don't confuse krypton with kryptonite, Superman repellant. Kryptonite is described as a radioactive solid of varying colors, from red to green to black, and NO Krypton is not only Supermans birth planet.
Krypton came from the greek word kryptos which means "hidden". It is named after this mostly because of how hard it is to find.
The noble gas is colorless and odorless. It has a full outer shell of electrons. Krypton does make some compounds.
Krypton is used in many things such as flash photography, florescent lights,and lasers.Krypton was onced used to determine the length of a meter.
Since there is so little Krypton on Earth it can not harm anyone on earth.
Sir William Ramsay won a noble peace prise for his dicovery of Krypton.
