Political and Social problems
There was lots of poor leadership issues in Rome as it fell. The old ideals of Romans disappeared, and many emperors took bribes. Talented people refused to work in the goverment because of the issues arising. Rich people did not pay taxes, and did not go to school. Slavery grew any wealthy Romans supported slavery, becasue it was a cheap way to get work done.
As Rome's economy began to fall apart, and the goverment began to fail. Invaders seized crops, and destroyed fields. Farmers grew less food, and famine spread. People began to but less goods, so artisans and shopkeepers lost money. A plague began to spread, and killed many peepole in the army. People also began to suffer from inflation, because fewer taxes were being paid. So the goverment had to put less gold in their coins. The value went down, and people began to barter fror goods again.

Diocletian's Reforms
I divided the empire into four parts. I let officals rule these parts, but kept authority over all.
To slow inflation, i issued rules that set the prices of goods. i also controlled the workers wages. Workers had to stay at their jobs till tthey died.
BUT MY REFORMS FAILED

CONSTATINE
- constatine made sure that sons of workers had to follow their fathers' trades, the sons of farmers had to work the land their fathers worked, and the sons of soldiers had to serve in the army.- his reforms did not stop the empire from declining in the west, so he built a new city in Greece calledconstantinople.
The legacy of RomeRome contributed to our language, goverment, law, religion, and the arts.
