Kizzy Ann Stamps

By: Jeri Watts

Kizzy Ann Stamps is a young African American girl who loves to learn. Her school is joining with the white school and she is fearful about what will happen. Her teacher is her source of comfort through all of the trials accompanying integration. Meanwhile, she is fighting justice at home as well. She wants everyone to be treated equally and does not understand why people do not agree with her. She, with her dog at her side, shows bravery and puts a lot on the line in order to stand up for what she believes in.
