Hydropower produces the most electricity. It is also the oldest source of energy. It used to be used for grinding corn.

To understand hydropower you must understand the water cycle.The type of water wheel depended on how fast the river and streams were flowing. It was an important alternative for fossil fuel.

hydropower is a renewable energy.It relies on the water cycle.The first industrial use for hydrpower was in 1880.
