High density (cold) air sinks through the low density (warm) air.
Katabatic Winds- A high density wind that flows down a mountain with gravity.
Altitude sickness can affect you at about 8,000 feet or more!
/
Your body gets less oxygen then it is used to, and this can cause sickness.
The number of air particles drops as altitude increases. This is because there is less weight in air pushing down on it.
Katabatic Winds
At higher altitudes, the air is less dense.
