Judaism

The Chanukah holiday- it is when they light candles and eat fried foods.

He's name is Yod-Hei-Vav-Hei (YHVH) and you can't just simpily write god you have to write it as g-d because people are scared that someone might accidently erase his name

The Torah was the major text of Judaism given to Moses. It consist of the first five books of Moses.

They're actually 613commandments ,but are split into 10 categories.1. I am the Lord your God who brought you out of slavery in Egypt.2. You shall have no other gods but me.3. You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God.4. You shall remember and keep the Sabbath day holy.5. Honor your father and mother.6. You shall not murder.7. You shall not commit adultery.8. You shall not steal. 9. You shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor.10. You shall not covet.

Women's Role

Women is seen as seperate but equal because God is seen neither male or female so God could have both femine and masculine qualities

I would like to give credit to Judaism from Judaism 101 by Tacey R Rich, Judaism-Introduction by teacherpages, and Paul and Palestian Judaism by E.P Sanders.

“You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor.” Caring for the less fortunate people in society is a basic value in Judaism.

“love your neighbor as yourself.” You wouldn't do that to yourself so dont do that to others.

“You shall not steal” and “You shall not murder.” It explains how the commandments have a standard of right or wrong.
