About Rick RiordanRichard Russell "Rick" Riordan, Jr. was born June 5, 1964. He was born in San Antonio, TX and still lives there with his wife and two sons. He is the author of the Percy Jackson and the Olympian series which consists of five books. The Battle of the Labyrinth is the fourth book in the series. Rick went to college at the University of Texas at Austin. While he was in college he worked as a music director at a summer camp. This is where he got the idea for "Camp Half-Blood". Rick was an English and Social Studies teacher for six years. He always taught about mythology and says it was his favorite subject. Lucky for me, Rick stopped teaching to become a writer. Will Anabeth be able to fulfill her quest through the Labyrinth to save Camp Half-Blood?

Summary In the beginning of the story Anabeth finds out that she has to lead a quest in to the labyrinth to find Daedalus' workshop. Anabeth, Percy, Grover and Tyson need to ask Daedalus how to stop Luke because Luke wants to destroy Camp Half-Blood. GENREThe genre of this book is FANTASY. I think this is a fantasy book because it has events and characters which could never actually occur in real life. Examples would be Cyclopes, Hydras, and Percy's pen, Riptide (which turns into a sword).

Setting: The Battle of the Labyrinth takes place between the earth and the underworld. The labyrinth covers the entire United States.Resolution: Anabeth, Percy, Grover and Tyson make it through the labyrinth and defeat members of Kronos' army, helping Anabeth fulfill her quest.
