Josep Tito

Tito was president after the federal people's republic of Yugoslavia was founded. Tito organized and led the partian resistance during World War 2. was elected prime Minister in 1945 and in 1974 was named president for life, a position he held until his death in 1980. Tito was the most powerful man in Yugoslavia. Tito maintained a strong military force. Tito forced the collectivization of peasants agricuture (which failed by 1953). Tito was communist.

Accomplishments

Beat German occupiers. Named president for life in 1974. Was elected Prime Minister in 1945.
