John Muir

Mini-BiographyJohn Muir was born in Dunbar Scotland on April 21st, 1838. In 1849 he and his family moved to Wisconsin, U.S.A. He grew up there. He went to the University of Wisconsin. He studied science there. After school, he worked as an inventor. But he quite to study the nature. He was very interested in nature. He traveled a lot. His favorite place was Yosemite Valley. He started to write many articles and books about his travels. He believed in protecting beautiful wild lands such as the Yosemite Valley. He thought that it should be a national park. He also made the Sierra Club. He worked as the president of the club. The club helped the conservation movement. He died in 1899. Even after his death, many people remember him for his articles and books and his belife of protecting the nature.
