John Lewis Civil Rights

Early Life- As a kid his parents where share cropers. As a teen he was very influenced by Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King Jr. Lewis was went to school at the Pike County Training High,American Baptist Theological Seminary, and at Fisk University, where he became a leader in the Nashville sit-ins.

Mid Life- In his mid life he started to get into polotics even more and he leaded a march now called the "Bloody Sunday" and his impact on Civil Rights.

Later Life- Now after his help he has done a few recent speeches and is a representative for Georgia. Recently in 2012 his wife Llilian died and he has a son John Miles Lewis.

Remembered for

Becuase of what he has done we have the Civil Rights and Blacks have freedom. He was known for his chairmanship of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee and Leading a parade now known as Bloody Sunday.

Birth & Death

Born in Troy, Alabama on Feburary 21 1940 and Still alive as a reperesentative in Georgia.
