John F Kennedy

John F Kennedy married Jacqueline Bovier on September 12, 1953. They had three children Caroline, John Jr, and Patrick. While living in the White House Jackie did a lot of work restoring the white house to try to get back the original elegance of the building. In 1963 when her husband was assassinated she was with him in the car. Jackie died from cancer in 1994.

Caroline Kennedy is the oldest of the three children. She was born in 1957 and is still alive today at the age of 57. She is currently the U.S. ambassador for Japan.

John F Kennedy Jr. was born in 1960 shortly after his father was elected president. He was a very succesful publisher but his life ended suddenly when he died in a plane crash in 1999.

Patrick Kennedy was the youngest of the three children. He was born prematurally and died shortly after.

Career as President

John F Kennedy was elected president in 19060 when he was 43 years old. He was the 35th president and the first and only Roman Catholic president of the United States. While he was president the United States was in a war with the Soviet Union called the Cold War.


Birth & Death

John F Kennedy was born on May 29, 1917 in Brookline, Massachusetts. He became president in 1960 and was the president until he was assassinated on November 22, 1963.

President John F Kennedy did a lot for foreign policy while he was president. He created the Peace Corps in 1961. He also created the Alliance for Progress which helped with the United States and Latin America's trade agreement. In 1963 President Kennedy also negotiated the Limited Nuclear Test Ban Treaty with the Soviet Union and Great Britain which helped end the Cold war.
