J.K. Rowling impacted on how people read. She changed literature. Jo influenced people in a positive way. She influenced them to follow their dreams because that is what she did. Jo always wanted to be an author since she was little and when she grew up she became an author.

Joanne Kathleen (J.K.) Rowling was born very imaginative and always wanted to be an author. Joanne Kathleen Rowling was born July 31, 1965 in Gloucestershire, England in the Yate General hospital. Her family soon gave her a nickname, Jo. When Jo was nine she moved to Tutshill, England. She moved to a new school called Tutshill Primary. Harry’s teacher Severus Snape was based on her teacher Mrs. Morgan . Both Harry Potter’s teacher and her real-life teacher were very strict unless you were able to get on their good side by getting straight A’s (Mrs. Morgan’s theory) or get into Slitherine, Severus Snape’s teaching house. By the time Jo turned 11 she went to Wyedean comprehensive. In that school Jo stood up to a bully who was making fun of kids. Jo soon thought that imagining things was better that real life. Jo realized that she was a lot like Hermione. At the age 15 Jo’s mother got sick. Anne had multiple sclerosis (MS) There was no cure for MS and Anne got weaker every day. Jo was so sad, but Jo’s friend Sean could always cheer her up. Sean would drive Jo around in his car. Sean’s car is the same one used in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. All of these examples from J.K. Rowling’s books, Harry Potter series, are based on her life. Many of the important events and relationships were included as characters or events in the story.

Childhood

Two years after Jo was born her sister Di was born. Jo had a Mom named Anne and her Dad was named Peter. When Jo and Di sat down together Jo would tell stories. Jo made up games with Di all the time. When they weren't playing games they were fighting in one fight Jo threw a battery Di’s head and she got a scar. That reminded her when she was making Harry.
