JJ is famously known for his use of mystery. It is shown in a wide variety of this films and television series such as Fringe, where the whole mystery behind the plot is carried through five seasons of the show. He also shows this in Lost where his use of mystery in the Pilot episode gathered a wide variety of audience asking the questions of why the plane was that far away or why there is a polar bear in the jungle.Abrams is also known to make the journey to the answer shown by the mystery entertaining and engaging but is also known to make the reveal of the mysterty as a very dissapointing end to a very professional and well created plot. This is shown in the television series Alias where the ending was known as a failure to an engaging plot."For Abrams, the destination is never as interesting as the journey, and the answer is never as interesting as the question. JJ Abrams is well known for his use of lens flares when he directs his films. This is shown in his most popular of films such as the new Star Trek movies, Super 8 and Mission Impossible 3.Some people may say he over used lens flares in his recent directions, such accusations were proven in the film Star Trek: Into Darkness where a total of 826 lens flares during the film. These such trademarks are the often use of the number 47 in his productions, he also uses music by Michael Giacchino.He often uses the plot of the pregnant woman being kidnapped and by mysterious people who eventually are there to help the woman or child, these are shown in his television series such as Alias (2001), Lost (2004) and Fringe (2008).
