All About Jim Abbott

Jim Abbott was born on September 19, 1967 without a right hand. Jim Abbott pitched in the MLB even though he only had one hand he followed his dream and never gave up. Jim Abbott went to Michigan St. He was on the All American team. He was drafted by the the California Angels in the 1988 draft. Then was traded to the New York Yankees in 1992. Threw a no-hitter against the Clevand Indians in Yankee Stadium in 1993. In 1995 he signed with the Chicago White Sox, then was traded to the Colorado Rockies in the same year. He did not go to another different team but went back to old teams during the rest of his career, except in 1999 he signed with the Milwakee Brewers. He retired in 1999, and was inducted into the "Michigan sporst Hall of Fame" in 2004. He was also elected into the "College Hall of Fame" in 2007. Jim lives in California with his wife, two children and their dog. His parents still live in Michigan. Jim and his family take the summer off each year to stay at the lake and visit with family and friends. Jim has a younger brother. This is Jim Abbott!
