Jeremy Irons

Jeremy John Irons was born in Cowes (Wight’s Island) in 1948 and he is a British actor. He is the son of Paul Dugan Irons (an accountant) and Barbara Anne Sharpe (a house wife). He was educated at the independent Sherbone school in Dorset. He achieved some fame as a drummer player in a school band called “Four Pillars of Wisdom”.Jeremy became interested in acting after he left his hobby as a musician. He studied at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School after he rejected the idea of becoming a vet. His first and greatest drama role was in the musical “Godspell”, where he performed as John the Baptist. Before that, he had worked with Royal Shakespeare Company where he met his wife, the Irish actress Sinead Cusack (who is the mother of his two sons: Samuel James Brefti Irons and Maximilian Paul Diarmuid Irons). Fame arrived in 1981 with the TV series ‘Brideshead Revisited’, and then with the film ‘Nijinsky’. In the same year, he starred in a film with the subject matter of a political drama like ‘Moonlighting’, and then in a historical film like ‘The Mission’, for which he would be nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor. However, his more praised movie was ‘Reversal of Fortune”, in which he won an Oscar and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor. He has also interpreted more films like ‘The Man in the Iron Mask’, ‘ Dungeons and dragons’, ‘Longitude’, ‘The Time Machine’, ‘Casanova’, ‘Kingdom of Heaven’, ‘Eragon’, ‘Elizabeth I’ , ‘Night Train to Lisbon’ and so on. He also dubbed Scar in ‘The Lion King’ and he won a ‘Tony Award’ with his performance in ‘The Real Thing’, in Broadway.

Nowadays, he has a contract with a movie called ‘Assassin’s Creed’ as Alan Rikkin. There is also a rumor that said he has been nominated again to the Golden Globe Awards. In my opinion, he is an important person because he is a really good actor (he takes a perfect bold form of his characters) and he is one of the best English actor who pronounces very well, in fact, he speaks perfect English.
