When her career in singing and acting first started she wasn’t as confident. She felt like she was too big and wasn’t self-accepted. When she went on American Idol, she lasted until the top 3. She didn’t make it and was eliminated, "Whatever it is, it was meant to be," Hudson says. "If it was based on talent, I know I was robbed." She didn’t let that stop her from achieving what she wanted. Later she was offered a position in a hit movie Dream Girls, and from there her career took off. She wasn’t comfortable with her size. She saw how all the other women on TV were smaller and she wasn’t at her ideal weight. She later started using Weight Watchers. She’s lost 80 pounds using Weight Watchers and some believe she’s still losing weight. Her self-esteem boosted and she’s become an inspiration to many bigger women to lose weight and to get their body the way they want it. Going from a size 16 to a size 6 she says, "I’m at the weight I want to be.” She has an unconditional positive regard on her life through everything. She has some traits of being self-actualized because she’s more comfortable with her life and she looks at everything positive.
