jellyfish/coral

A Cnidarian could have one of the two body forms of polyp or medusa. A polyp has a tube shaped body with a mouth surrounded by tentacles. A medusa has an umbrella-shaped body called a bell with tentacles that hang down.

Phylum Cnidaria (Jellyfish and Coral)

Jellyfish use nematocysts to capture or poisen their prey. A nematocyst is a capsul that contains a coiled, threadlike tube that contains toxic substances.

A nerve net is part of a cnidarian nervous system that conducts impulses to and from all parts of the body.
