ReligionJapan's religions are Shinto/Buddhism. Shinto was Japan's first religion. Shinto it self is as old as the Japanese culture. The other main religion is Buddhism which was brought from Asia in the 6th century.

LanguagesThe languages spoken through out Japan are standard Japanese, Japanese sign language, Ainu, Hachijo, Amami, Miyako, Yacyame and Yomaguni.

The flag of Japan represents the sun in the centre. It is called "Nisshoki, meaning sun-marked flag" or commonly known as "Hinomaru, meaning circle of the sun".

EconomyJapan's economy is the world's third largest by nominal GDP, the worlds fourth largest economy by purchasing parity and the worlds second largest developed economy. Japan's currency is yen.

RulersIn Japan the Emporor is called the "Tenno" in Japanese or the "Mikado" which means "heavenly sovereign". The Imperial house of Japan is the oldest continuing hereditary monarchy in the world and the current Emporor of Japan is the only remaining monarch in the world ruling under the title of "Emporor".

DynastiesRulers were picked because they were related to the Japanese sun Godess "Amaterasu". There was no time limitations to how long he would rule and would then pass on his throne to his heirs. A dynasty could last for hundreds of years.
