Goals
1.) Wanted to build a place for the less fortunate.
2.) Wanted to help gain women and colored people the right to vote.
3.) To help people gain jobs.
The Life of Jane Addams
- Founder of American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU)
- Worked for trash company in Chicago and enjoyed the job.
-During World War I she held a women's conference for peace held in Hague, Netherlands.
Methods
1.) Bought Hull House to help immigrants assimulate and improve communities.
2.) Joined clubs and unions to give women and colored people equal rights to white men.
3.) Wrote books about women's suffrage to help women gain the right to vote.
