James Watt's mom had lost so many of her children that she took extreame care of James. When James got older he got married to Katherine Caroline and had six children. He had three girls and three boys, Katherine, James, Mary, Alice, Philip, and William. James Watt's career is inventing. He was a very wealthy man. He made steam engine,that helped start the Industrial Revolution, and a photocopier.
Early life
James Watt was born on January 19, 1736 in Greenock, United Kingdom. He died on August 25 1819 in Handsworth, United Kingdom
Growing up James had a lot of headaches and toothaches. In school James was rated as a backward scholar, and his education was considered neglected. Growing up James's family called him ''Jamie''. James was a very shy kid but when he was with his grandparants, and cousins he told them all kinds of stories, keeping them entertained, and just being himself.

James went to The University of Glasgow, and University of Science. James also went to grammer school. He discovered the photocopier, later making the Watt steam engine.
