James Watt

Birth: January 19, 1736 Death: August 25, 1819Early Life: He became acquainted with Robert Dick who put him into training for the instrument makers. His dad was a carver growing up and he taught him most. “Watt was eager to cram several years of training into one, and worked 10 hour days in the cold workshop.” He was homeschooled by his mother. Then later he learned Latin, Greek, and mathematics in grammar school.
