A collection of essays, short stories, and book reviews, written while he was in Greenwich, New York.

Life~~~~~ -Attended DeQuilt Clinton High School -Pursued literature at a young age -Around 1941, he left his family for Greenwich, a more art oriented community around New York City -Discovered his own homosexuality in 1948; moved to France that same year -In 1953, he moved to Switzerland and wrote "Go Tell It On the Mountain" -Very big Civil RIghts Activist, returning to the USA in 1957 to participate in the Civil Rights Movement -He wouldn't return to France until after the assassination of activists such as Martin Luther King Jr and Malcom X
