Jacqueline Woodson

Jacqueline Woodson has won many awards for her writing (varying from children books to books for young adults) including The Newbery Honor Medal, The Coretta Scott King Award, The National Book Award and others. Even among all of her awards her work has been banned from different countries because of religious issues, the use of foul language, homosexuality, and racial issues.

Fun facts!:-Jacqueline is a lesbain mom with two childern and a partner.-She can only write with her notebook turned sideways.-Once she wrote a whole book in two weeks that only needed light revision.-The next book she wrote took her four years to complete.-She shares a birthday with Aberham Lincoln and Judy Blum-Her favorite season is fall-She memorizes most of her work so she doesn't have to carry notes and books around with her.
