In 1937, He enrolled in Pasadena Junior College. Robinson entered the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), lettering in four sports in 1939.In 1940, Jackie Robinson won the National Collegiate Athletic Association, or NCAA, broad jump title

He became professional football player for the Honolulu Bears, a semi-professional football team in 1941. In 1942 Jackie Robinson was drafted into the Army. Private Robinson was commissioned as a second lieutenant in 1943. In 1944 He was honourably discharged in November 1944 following an ankle injury.

In 1950s'-1960s' , he became a vocal supporter of Martin Luther King Jr. and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. 2 years later Robinson inducted into Baseball Hall of Fame.October 24, 1972: Jackie Robinson died of a heart attack (aged 53) in Stamford, Connecticut.
