Islamic Religion

*The main sacred text used is Qur'an.

Islam's believe that there is one "almighty" God named Allah who is given credit for all of mankind. Worship is displayed through religous rituals.

The most important festival is Eid-ul-fitr. It is celebrated with peace and harmony.

Gender roles are determined by social and cultural context. The purpose is to simply determine 'masculine' from 'feminine'. Males, accourding to Qur'an verse 4.34, have privilege over women.

Some of the many rules of moral conduct are be modest, truthful, patient and be a good citizen.

Many ancient prophets are believed to be the founders of the Islam religion.

The picture below is the Shahadatain. Which means “two Shahadas.” The Shahada represents faith.

Islam originated in Arabia in the Middle East. (Muhammad, a prophet, was born, raised, lived, and died there.)

The natural leaders are those who are wise, pious, knowledgeable, and true in practice. "Verily the most honorable of you with God are the most pious among you.” [Qur’an 49:13]

A few common rituals that this religion practices are prayers, fasting, pilgrimage, charity, purification, and animal sacrifice.
