Muslim Empire

There are many things that people belonging to the Islamic faith practice. They pray 5 times a day and they have prayer in the mosque on Friday. Muslims also make charitable donations. They fast during the holy month of "Ramadam". They are allowed to have up to four wives, but there is no alcohol, pork, or gambling allowed.

The muslim empire had many accomplishments as well. They developed the artistic style of geometric shapes and patterms. The muslims were also the first to mix sweet tasting syrups with medicenes to make them taste better so that people would take them. In architecture the muslims used man domes and arches in their buildings.

Important Places

A couple of the important places in this faith include Mecca and Mount Moriah Rock. Every Muslim is expected to make the pilgrimage to Mecca at least once and worship at the Kabah which is believed to be the house of God. Mount Moriah Rock is sacred as well because this is where Muhammad died ascended to heaven.

There are many important Islamic leaders that have impacted the practices of the muslims. The main leader was Muhammad, who was the messenger prophet, but also the Caliphs, or leaders of the Islam community, had a big impact.
